  • Date: Thursday, September 24, 2015
  • Time: 3:30 - 4:30 pm EST (60 minute session)
  • Cost: Free, but space is limited. Please register early.
  • Speaker: Charles Palmer, Director of the Center for Advanced Entertainment & Learning Technologies (CAELT) at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology
  • Register: Learning Views Webinar

Session Description:

Gamification is the use of game mechanics in non-game experiences. Over the past couple of years, the term "Gamification" has become accepted in business and education and has opened the door for changing learning and performance through the use of games. Gamification is about performance and behavior change though, not playing Jeopardy. Join this session to learn about examples of using gamification in business and training and to practice applying game mechanics to your training and change management initiatives.

About the Speaker:

As the director of the Center for Advanced Entertainment & Learning Technologies (CAELT) at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, Charles Palmer applies his creativity, leadership, and technological expertise to promote the application of technology to contribute to the development of the gaming field in the region and beyond.

Hello Lynn,
Although I didn't get to your questions, I did give it some thought. Leah, over at FutureCast, made a recent post about using brand-based implementations of Gamification for Millennials. You can read it at http://www.millennialmarketing.com/2015/05/the-new-brand-experience-make-it-a-game/.
