How Can You #MakeTimeForLearning?

1. Reevaluate learning objectives - Tips To Write Measurable Learning Objectives For Online Training

  • It is always easier to assess whether participants are “getting it” in the classroom. For virtual training, you may have to make a few adjustments.
    Step 1: Review the original ILT objectives to determine if knowledge increase, comprehension, application or analysis was desired learning outcome.
    Step 2: Decide if the learning objectives can be achieved with the virtual platform selected
    Step 3: Consider revising learning activities to achieve same outcomes as classroom-based sessions

New Tools for L&D Measurement

John R. Mattox II, Ph.D., principal consultant with Metrics that Matter, a Division of Explorance, recently spoke to a group of Atlanta-area learning leaders about how to measure learning programs for impact and the new technologies that are available to help with the measurement process.

“Training programs should have a measurable impact on learning, application, performance and business outcomes,” Mattox said. “There are many ways to measure these outcomes, but the two most effective ways are impact studies and comparison to standards.”
