Building High Performing & Partnering Teams

Course Number: TP-LT002

About This Course

In a 24/7, rapidly changing, always on, “do more with less” world, not surprisingly, individual stress and interpersonal tension can influence organizational climate, communication, and coordination. The challenge becomes sustaining morale while forging open, cooperative, and productive working partnerships, that is, forging a “Helmet’s Off” culture. The keys are: a) free sharing of knowledge and skills, b) opportunity to express different talents and viewpoints, c) feeling heard, especially in times of conflict, d) genuine give-and-take, e) engaging with diverse perspectives. And when the learning-sharing-trust building atmosphere can also be thought-provoking and FUN…then collaborative bridges will transcend barriers!

By the end of this "Get FIT" -- FUN-Interactive-Thought-provoking -- Workshop, participants will:

  • Grasp Essentials of High Performing & Collaborative Teams: identify and apply key dynamics including classic group process stages: Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing
  • Understand the “Four ‘R’s of PRO Relating”: being Respectful-Real-Responsible-Responsive; how to ask courageous “good questions” to turn power struggles into trust and collaborative-building opportunities
  • Discover the Two "I"s in Winning Teams: Individual Creativity & Interactive Community; the difference between setting the goal (destination) and how to get there (direction)
  • Gain Effective, Efficient & Engaging Team Structures, Strategies, & Skills: strengthen member responsibility, rotate facilitation, wavelength segments, and building high task-human touch teams
