TP-CS007: Maximizing Your Presentation

About this Course

Effective presentations require the establishment of a bond or relationship with the audience.  As a presenter, you make a commitment to help your audience accomplish or understand something of importance to them.  In turn, they are constantly analyzing your skills and knowledge of the subject matter to determine your credibility and whether you can live up to your commitment.  This program is all about becoming a prepared, confident and committed presenter.  Learning objectives include:

• Analyze (in advance) the key components of all presentations:    You---Your Audience---Style of Delivery
• Assess your personal presentation skills
• Organize and prepare presentations for effective delivery to your audience
• Manage the natural anxiety associated with delivering key presentations
• Use nonverbal communication techniques to captivate your audience
• Explore the use of visual aids and presentation tools such as PowerPoint to assist in retention and increased learning

Delivery Method(s)

• Lecture (20 minute segments) with Q&A using PowerPoint Presentations and Wall Charts, etc.
• Dyad, triad and large group activities (Case studies, Role plays, Games, etc.)
• Relevant practice sessions for skill performance & mastery
• Accelerated Learning Techniques for Somatic, Audio, Visual & Intellectual learners
